TrueCost Mortgage Calculators does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. All calculations happen entirely in your browser. When you close the tab, everything is gone. We have no account system, no login, and no database of user data.

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email, address, or phone number
- Financial data you enter into our calculators
- IP addresses or precise location data
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Browsing history or behavioral profiles
2. How Our Calculators Work
Every calculation on TrueCost runs entirely within your browser using JavaScript. No data is sent to any server. The numbers you enter into our mortgage, affordability, or amortization calculators exist only in your browser's memory and are deleted when you close or refresh the page.
3. Cookies
We do not set any first-party cookies. If you have third-party advertising enabled (Google AdSense), Google may set cookies to serve relevant ads. These cookies are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
4. Third-Party Services
This site uses the following third-party services:
- Google Fonts — to load typography. Google may log font requests. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Chart.js (CDN) — loaded from Cloudflare CDN to render charts. Cloudflare may log basic request metadata.
- Google AdSense — if enabled, Google may serve ads and set advertising cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Netlify — our hosting provider. Netlify may collect standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). See Netlify's Privacy Policy.
5. Analytics
We currently do not use any analytics platform. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and we will use privacy-respecting tools that anonymize data.
6. Children's Privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, please contact us so we can address it.
